At the age of 15 he hitchhiked alone 2000 miles to the coast of southern France and discovered the thrill of traveling.
After his professional studies, he held leadership positions in several jobs and in between he traveled. Over the years he developed a passion for long distance trekking and expeditions.
In 2005 he left Switzerland and traveled Turkey, Middle East and Africa, in the footsteps of Oriental and African explorer J.L. Burckhardt (1784-1817).
18 months on the road, 5000 km on foot with pack animals -- horse, camels and mules in Turkey, Jordan, Ethiopia and Namibia. This challenging adventure has left a lasting impression on him. More about Nomad Being
In 2007 he reduced his workload as a consultant and rented a farm for six years. He bought horses, learned a lot about them and with great enthusiasm conducted time.out.door incentive team building, off-road riding, horse trekking and youth riding camps. More about timeoutdoor
The fascination of Africa continued to attract him. He bought single-humped camels, with the aim of exploring Kaokoland, the semi-desert of the extreme north-west of Namibia. For three years he has trained the camels for trekking and made pack saddles. After more than 2000 km camel trekking in Namibia, in 2009 he reached his goal. Thanks to many years of experience as a team leader for big international companies, he developed a connection between trekking and coaching. He became a life coach helping people going literally new paths, coping with the challenges of life in nature became the key experience to transfer into daily life.
2012 he initiated the long term trekking project "Go East": Eastern Europe and Siberia. His motivation: discovering new landscape and the Slavic / Russian soul. His motto from Goethe: «Only where you have walked, you've really been». More
2015 his passion for camels and Africa inspired him for a long distance camel trekking in the northern semi-desert region of Kenya. More
Later he joined his twin brother Mario for sharing and discovering a new life on water. More
